I’m super excited to announce that I was featured on one of my favourite blogs, Chapter Friday this past week in this post on Moroccan inspired rugs! My bedroom decor was featured along with interior inspo from Glamour, Rue Mag, and designlovefest. It’s no surprise that Yara Michels of Chapter Friday would dedicate a entire post to the elegance of the black and white Moroccan shag rug. After all, my Moroccan rug (from Rugs USA) is one of my favourite pieces in my apartment. I love how it’s simple yet chic, and the ivory colour is warm and inviting in my space. To quote Yara Michels of Chapter Friday, “There’s something perfectly simplistic about this ivory rug, with its thick, shag style. It’s so neutral and warm that it blends into almost any room. Combine it with pink accents or a lush, leafy plant; it all works.”

Although it’s always nice to invest in quality materials in our interior spaces, you don’t have to break the bank to have a beautiful Moroccan shag rug of your own. I myself own an affordable Moroccan shag rug that I purchased online from Rugs USA last year, and it’s still holding up beautifully.
See below for some budget-friendly finds through Rugs USA. Bonus: They’re each made out of synthetic, man-made materials so they’re cruelty-free!
So which Moroccan shag rug is your favourite? Would you decorate your home with this versatile piece? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
