Lush Beauty Haul
If you ask me what my number one favourite beauty brand is, it would be Lush. Aside from their amazing line of products, their company has a strong ethical backbone, and a deep respect for both their employees, and their customers. They’re always giving back to their customers, and in fact, they’ve reached out to me and paid me to be a customer experience shopper four times. But all of that aside, I am a seriously loyal Lush customer. I could write a list a mile long of all of my favourite Lush products, but instead I have rounded up my favourite Lush products tailored to the winter season, and provided Lush product reviews for each. By incorporating these cruelty-free Lush products into your daily routine, you will be ready to brave the harsh winter weather, and take your beauty acumen to new levels.

1. Buffy Body Butter Bar
I’ve heard many beauty products dubbed as “lifesavers”, but I believe this one actually is. As someone with extremely sensitive skin, I’ve battled the issue of razor bumps for years. And now that I’ve found the Lush Buffy Body Butter Bar, I can put those razor bump nightmares and dry skin to rest, and get extremely smooth skin. Here’s the lowdown: you use the Buffy bar in the shower or bath on wet skin (pro tip: it works especially well before shaving to get a smooth shave!), and ground rice, almonds, and beans exfoliate all of your lumps and bumps away. It’s like a magic bar that can be used all over your body to cure razor bumps or dry skin on your thighs, butt, calves, and even the tiny red bumps on your upper arms, that a lot of us have to deal with. What’s more, it’s made with shea butter, so you can skip lotion after you shower or bath. Needless to say, the shea butter is extremely moisturizing, which is key for battling dry skin in the winter. If there is one product I would recommend from Lush, this would be it! Even after just one or two uses you will be able to notice a difference in the softness of your skin, and I promise it will be smoother than ever before!
2. Oatifix Fresh Face Mask
Since a young age, I’ve always been crazy for face masks, but nothing does it for me like the Lush Oatifix Fresh Face Mask. As a proud owner of the Clairsonic Mia Facial Cleansing Brush, I can confidently say that out of the two, the Oatifix mask delivers the same skin softening results as the Clairsonic, at a fraction of the price. This mask is my go-to whenever my skin is dry, or if I feel like treating myself during my beauty prep before a night out. After one use, your skin looks and feels ridiculously soft (and it doesn’t hurt that the mask smells like yummy banana bread!)
3. Helping Hands
As a Canadian, I know the meaning of dry hands in the winter! After sampling several all-natural brands over the years to no avail, Lush’s Helping Hands hand lotion was the answer to my prayers. After only one or two uses, you can already feel the difference. Their heavenly formula with cocoa butter and honey helps to moisturize your skin, but what’s even better is that it’s packed with skin-soothing chamomile, so it won’t hurt chapped hands. And although it takes a little while to set into your skin, what I really appreciate about Helping Hands versus other hand lotions is that it’s not greasy, and a little goes a long way! So a 100g tub has gone on to last me an entire winter season, even with daily use.
4. Sweet Lips Lip Scrub
As an avid lipstick wearer, I hate battling dry, chapped lips in the winter. So I swear by Lush’s Sweet Lips lip scrub as part of my weekly beauty routine to exfoliate my lips so they’re smooth and lipstick-ready. Lush is always coming out with new, limited edition lip scrub flavours (which don’t remain on your lips once rinsed off), so don’t be afraid to sample them all — just try not to eat them!
5. Let The Good Times Roll Facial Cleanser
My number one favourite facial scrub at Lush is definitely Ocean Salt, but in the winter the ingredients can be harsh on my skin with daily use. So in the cold-weather months, I opt for Lush’s Let The Good Times Roll Facial Cleanser, which does the job for exfoliating, but doesn’t aggravate skin when it’s at it’s driest. I love the butter-caramel scent (with yummy notes of cinnamon), and it has handy, built-in moisturizing properties that are ideal for getting extra skin hydration in the winter.
6. No Drought Dry Shampoo
When your hair gets dry in the winter, it’s wise to take as much time as you can between shampoos. That’s where Lush’s No Drought Dry Shampoo comes in. Although the shampoo is white in colour, when used sparingly it blends in perfectly with both brunette and blonde hair (I’ve tried both!), and it has a fresh lime and grapefruit scent.
7. Eau Roma Water
As stated before, I have extremely sensitive skin, which only gets worse in the winter, so Lush’s Eau Roma Water toner is my saviour. It uses age-old essential oils like rose and lavender to deliver a moisturizing tonic that treats redness, dryness, and irritation (and the rose water does wonders for evening out your skin tone). And since it has nourishing properties, it goes hand-in-hand with your favourite moisturizer.
8. Vanillary Perfume
Nothing is more fitting for winter than the warm scent of vanilla perfume, which is even better when it’s paired with scrumptious notes of burnt caramel, tonka bean, and hints of sultry sandalwood and jasmine. Lush’s Vanillary perfume, like all Lush perfumes, are scents in their purest form — free on harsh chemicals and ingredients you can’t pronounce. With ingredients like natural vanilla absolute (made from vanilla pods), this is a scent you will want to reach for when you want to wrap yourself in a gourmet delight this winter season.
